Residential Pressure Washing for Richmond Brick Homes
Most homes here are brick, from attached and side-hall rowhouses in older neighborhoods to detached houses on larger lots south of the James. The trim is usually painted wood, and the flatwork is small: front walks, steps, and rear patios. The method changes with the surface, so each service below gets the approach that suits it.
- House Washing: We soft wash vinyl siding, stucco, Dryvit, and brick, mixing the solution weaker for vinyl and stronger for stucco and Dryvit. Exterior window cleaning can be added to the same visit if you want it. Every so often we come across a house painted with a type of paint that our cleaning solution can discolor. If we spot it, we'll tell you up front and won't risk your finish.
- Roof Cleaning: We soft-wash asphalt shingle and slate roofs, never high pressure.
- Gutter Cleaning: We clean gutters by hand, bag the leaves, and haul them away. We also install gutter guards.
- Deck Cleaning: Pressure-treated pine, cedar, and composite each get their own approach: a soft wash for composite, detergent and medium pressure for wood.
- Fence Cleaning: Vinyl gets a soft wash, and wood gets medium pressure. We can do your side only or both sides, and we'll pull vines or leave them, whichever you prefer.
- Driveway Cleaning: We pre-treat broom-swept and exposed aggregate concrete, then run a flat surface cleaner over it for an even finish. We clean concrete driveways only. If your concrete is brand new, we'll lower the pressure or suggest waiting so we don't harm the surface.
- Concrete Cleaning: Patios, sidewalks, walkways, and pool decks all clean up the same way, which fits the front walks and alley-side patios common here. You can walk on it as soon as we're done.
- Deck & Fence Staining: We wash first, then stain once the wood has dried, spray it on, and back-brush it into the gaps. We use Olympic by default and can switch to another brand on request.
- Paver Sealing: We seal clay, concrete, and brick pavers with Trident products, matching the sealer to your surface and the look you want, since some change the appearance and some don't.
- Paver Restoration: We deep-clean the pavers, clear old debris from the joints, lay fresh joint sand, and seal them. You choose the sand color and the sealer finish.
- Concrete Sealing: We fill cracks first, then seal broom-swept, exposed aggregate, and decorative concrete, spraying broom-swept areas and rolling aggregate and decorative surfaces in a shiny or matte finish.
We recommend washing at least once a year, and twice a year if the budget allows, after spring pollen and again before winter.
